🐾 What is the Blessing of the Animals?
In celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, known for his deep love of animals and all of God’s creation, The Union Church of San Juan invites our neighbors and their beloved pets to a special Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 3, from 10:00–11:00 AM.
During this one-hour gathering, Senior Pastor Marc Miller will share a Scripture reading celebrating God’s creation and offer a special blessing for the animals who bring so much companionship, love, and joy into our lives.
Bring your dog, cat, bird, bunny, hamster, guinea pig, turtle—or whatever companion is part of your family! If your pet would be happier staying home, you are also welcome to bring a photo of them to receive the blessing.
More than anything, this is an opportunity to meet fellow pet lovers and neighbors from Ocean Park, Punta Las Marías, and the surrounding communities, make new connections, and enjoy a welcoming morning together.
We want our neighbors to know that The Union Church of San Juan is a place where people—and the animals they love—are welcome.
Well-behaved pets are welcome inside the sanctuary. 🐾

🐾 ¿Qué es la Bendición de los
Animales?
En celebración de la Festividad de San Francisco de Asís, conocido por su profundo amor por los animales y toda la creación de Dios, The Union Church of San Juan invita a nuestros vecinos y a sus queridas mascotas a una Bendición de los Animales el sábado, 3 de octubre, de 10:00 a 11:00 AM.
Durante este encuentro de una hora, nuestro Pastor Principal, Marc Miller, compartirá una lectura bíblica que celebra la creación de Dios y ofrecerá una bendición especial para esos animales que traen tanta compañía, amor y alegría a nuestras vidas.
¡Trae a tu perro, gato, ave, conejo, hámster, conejillo de Indias, tortuga o cualquier otro animalito que sea parte de tu familia! Si tu mascota estaría más cómoda quedándose en casa, también puedes traer una foto de ella para recibir la bendición.
Sobre todo, esta será una oportunidad para conocer a otros amantes de los animales y vecinos de Ocean Park, Punta Las Marías y las comunidades cercanas, hacer nuevas amistades y compartir juntos una mañana especial.
Queremos que nuestros vecinos sepan que The Union Church of San Juan es un lugar donde todos son bienvenidos—incluyendo a los animales que tanto queremos.
Las mascotas con buen comportamiento son bienvenidas dentro del santuario. 🐾
